This is simple inter-sample peaks (ISP) meter plugin. It is based on Limiter №6 ISP limiter true signal level detector in “precise” mode.
This is how it looks:

Click on plugin window to reset values.

[L6 ISP Meter (VST, Windows 32/64 bit)]
And these are test examples.
TEST#1. File with … 0 0 0 +1 +1 0 0 0 … impulse. It has calculated inter-sample peak value of +2.098 dB. My plugin shows +2.111 dB.

TEST#2. File with … 0 0 0 +1 -1 0 0 0 … impulse. It has calculated inter-sample peak value of +0.765 dB. My plugin shows +0.799 dB.

So, conclusion. My plugin has enough precision (greater than 0.1 dB) allowing its use to control inter-sample peak values. Also it can be used to control ISP modes in brickwall limiter plugins.
And as bonus there’re my calculations of theoretical peak values for both impulse files:

It would be the cool plugin if it will have a GUI. Really-true Peak Meter )
Great little thingy!
Спасибо!
thx, great!
