    Hi there,

    Ive tried your MOLOT plugin in Logic, but when i move my channel in its whole the compressor shuts off and i have to reset the preset and change the parameters again. This is a serious bug i hope you can make some time to look in to that.

      Hello, I am new to this and I don’t know how to install the free vst plugins to my reaper daw.
      I think I am doing it correct. I push the PC window button of the free plugin I want and it downloads and then I click on it and it wants to be saved in my down loads. When I copy it from my downloads into my VST folder it wont got there. Do you know what I am doing wrong?

      Hi! I tried to use Molot as de-esser but it worked very bad. It’s too slow and doesn’t have lookahead. It’s too “visible” (antipode to “invisible” compressors). So I think such kind of compressor doesn’t suit well for de-essing.

      Yeah keep them coming I just got 3 of them today and I just did a TEST on my Master fader which I don’t do while creating my beats, and it was dope as hell. One question though why do I have to install them each day I use studio one pro can you help? Thanks

    I like your philosophy of creating something different and not mimicing what’s already existing, keep up the goog work!

    I tried to use Molot with Adobe Audition CS5.5 32bit on Win7 and Audition does see Molot, but I can’t add it to the effect rack. It’s always greyed out and thus not selectable. What am I doing wrong? Does Molot work with Audition?

    Molot VST 2 channel 0.3 version works within Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5.2 on a PC *(64 bit version). I used 2 instances and some creative sending / Audio Submix tracks to enable stereo external sidechain compression. Very useful for ducking some music underneath a voiceover.     Hi, the Molot 2 channel 0.3 version (64 bit vst) works with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5. Thank you so much!!!

    I was searching for hours on how to get an external sidechain working in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5.2. The 4 channel version didn’t work, but the 2 channel version worked. I implemented External sidechaining in my video project sequence using Molot and it worked great. I used some clever sending between Audio Submix tracks in Premiere and two different Molot instances to allow my sidechaing to be performed on a Stereo music track.

    The effect is that when I talk in my video, the music automatically ducks down a few DB, and that makes the background music not interfere with the voiceover. I used 2 instances of the “64 bit 2 channels Molot 0.3 version” VST plugin in the “mono mode with external side chain signal” mode.

    I am using it on Mac Os X with Reaper and it does run a bit slow (the GUI and my whole reaper daw GUI slows down quite a bit)… any thoughts on this?

    Does sound great– it is just hard to make changes as the DAW slows down so much…

        I have tried both versions of the GUI with same result (I am now back to No. 2 — as it “looks” like it would be less of a CPU draw — I do love the look of your GUI No.1 –fantastic!)

        I am using 1.0.1.

        Interesting note that when I close the UI — everything is fine. Or if I click the UI button in the reaper FX window– slowness goes away (although limiter plugin is running and working fine). It seems that it is literally the UI interface being rendered in real time, that is causing the slowness?

        Would also add that I am using the Molot as well and it works perfectly– no slowness on GUI.
        Both plugins sound great– let me know if you figure-out anything about the slowness with Limiter No. 6.

      Hi! Logic is not supported yet. I’m working on AU version of plugin. Also you can try any VST->AU wrapper but there’re no guarantees at all…

    Vlad hi mate, greetings from Australia. I’m eager to use the limiter no6, it comes highly recommended. However I have followed the install instructions step by step several times but the plugin doesn’t appear in my insert list. I use Pro tools 9 on an iMac OSX Mountain Lion. Is there something else I need to do?

    Your plugs are awesome! I do have a question for you.
    Everything works great in my Sonar X2 32 bit but, your plugs do not show up in my Sonar X2 64 b it. I put your 64 bit dll’s in my 64 bit vst folder, which is scanned by the plugin manager. All of the other 64 bit plugs in that folder show up, just not any of yours. Any thoughts?

    They all work fine in my 64 bit Sonar X2. Go to C:/program files, double click cakewalk, open vst folder, create a new folder named vladg sound or whatever. Drop the dll files here then re-scan your vsts in Sonar. That will work.

      It is actually based on Molot sound engine. And I’m not author of this project. BTW, I have plans to make Proximity port as RE, but I didn’t have plans about Molot as RE.

        Does that mean that you are involved with this RE and gave him parts of Molots code?

        Or does “based on Molot sound engine” mean that the RE’s creator tried to create a Molot-sounding compressor “by ear”, that is by listening to Molot and trying to emulate its sound?

    Just wanted to ask you it says in LIMTR NO6 manual that u can oversample4x with the “Peak Limiter” section…I see 4xoversample option in the Clipper section but not with the Peak Limiter. Where exactly is the that option with the Peak Limiter?

    HI, I have a problem with all your plug-in. I have logic 9 and I have installed Limiter6, Molot and also the one that you made with Tokyo Dawn Records (Proximity). The Audio Units Manager of Logic says that the plug-in are ‘successfully validated’ but when I go in channel strip and I search the plug-in I don’t find them.

    Уважаемый Влад! Пробовал ваши приборы Молот и Лимитер6. Пока правда только в наушниках(ибо только что скачал)), в ближайшее время попробую отмастерить пару вещей. Но в принципе уже сейчас могу сказать спасибо! Приборы достаточно корректные! На вскидку сравнивал Молот с вейвсовским Н-Сomp, ваши алгоритмы показались более человеческими. Впечатлил потенциал Молота в качестве компрессора для барабанов, но к сожалению с треками работаю в ПТ (мастерю в Вейвлабе) и конечно ну очень хотелось бы увидеть ртас версии.. Ещё раз спасибо!, не ожидал, что у нас есть умельцы в этой области.

    Hey there, I do enjoy your collaboration with fabien and herbert don’t get me wrong, and I can see how its more productive and less stressful for you to work in a team, but will you release any plugins under your name again someday?
    The thing is for as much as I love slickeq and even feedback compressor I kinda miss your GUI designs and your plugins workflow. Like how is it all manual and you have this extremely detailed control. You really get that pseudo feeling your dealing with something from the past and you instantly have more respect towards it when using.
    Once again, don’t get me wrong, slickeq sounds smooth as fuck when boosting the highs:), I just don’t enjoy using it as much as molot.

      Thanks a lot for your question! Actually I hate doing GUI-related stuff. The main reason to start collaboration was to offload tasks like UI, documentation, PR and so on to another people and to concentrate on sound. Yeah, I’d love too to have military-style SlickEQ version and I’m sure it’s possible in some future but right now I don’t have the right designer to do this job. About my personal project, I think it is interesting to know I’m preparing my submission to KVR DC’14 to the end of July.

        “Actually I hate doing GUI-related stuff.” What an irony, I think molot is one of the best looking plugs freeware or payware wise, and it didn’t age one bit.
        I would love to help you with GUIs but I fear my 3D modelling skills are a bit rusty. But as an engineer/industrial design geek fascinated with vintage stuff that I am, it would dream come true. And on a downside I am not Russian so it wouldn’t feel right, although I am slavic:) So if you’ll need shitty looking GUI you can call me anyday.

    Enjoying Nova, but it seems to crash instantly using it as a track plugin in Wavelab (Windows version 1.0.3).
    Any idea why, any fix maybe?

      Maybe it’s because the plugin has 4 inputs (second pair for external sidechaining). I’ll try to reproduce it. Which version of Wavelab do you use?

    Just wanted to tell you that your limiter saved my mix. No matter what I was trying with any kind of compressor, I’ve always had problems in getting enough volume to the sound without blasting. I don’t have a limiter and as typical for a not so well known musician and composer I don’t have the salary to buy high quality limiter plugins since my recording program and synthesizers made me poor. So I’ve tried several limiters, nothing could really give me the results I wanted (extreme volume and power with a clear sound). But yours gave me the best sound I’ve ever had. Just thank you for granting this great product for free!

    Vlad Hi! If I have 2 Molot plug-ins in my mastering chain (one doing Full stereo minimal compression and the other doing Mid only) what do you recommend as far as the internal dither settings in preferences on both? I currently have them both set to high. This thing is awesome btw!

      Hi! For mastering I usually set Dither to off, Upsampling to HQ, Limiter to Off and Saturation to Off. It’s the cleanest possible configuration. The “high” dither level is 20-bit so theoretically it shouldn’t harm your 16-bit output dithering.

    Здравствуйте. Когда работал в Лоджике ваши компрессор и лимитер очень нравились, после перехода на Pro Tools постоянно вспоминаю 2 этих плагина… RTAS или AAX версии будут? очень бы хотелось иметь их в арсенале. Спасибо вам за труды и за щедрость.

    I downloaded molot recently but the GUI doesn’t show up.
    I tested all versions but it didn’t show up on any of them.
    Also I tested it on several DAW software but it worked on none of them.
    But without the GUI it works perfectly, and the GUI of the plugins you made with Tokyo dawn labs work perfectly too. It’s just molot, limiter No6, and NOVA-67p that doesn’t work on my computer.
    Do you have any idea on how i can fix this problem?
    I really like the GUI of your plugins and I really want to use them.

    Molot x32 & x64 failed to load on Samplitude Pro X Silver. It caused built in VST bridge to stop working.

    I’ve beenn using your molot for few years and I’m really glad to it.
    Since version 0. 3.1b, the plug only works under in m/s mode in midscoop.
    Il only happens with Cubase and Reape (both 64bit) and it works perfectly fine with Sony movie Studio (64 bit either)
    Any clue?

    I am a great fan of your plugins. Molot is my ‘go to’ compressor & I find it much better than many other ‘Big Brand’ plugin compressors. Nova-67P & LimiterNo6 are great too. Your choice of using 64bitFloatingPoint internal precision, shows your ability to “distinguish good sounds”. (I’ve myself always observed 64bit precision plugins to sound deeper). I wish SlickEQ had 64bitFP precision (it sounds great even now).

      I coded all DSP parts of SlickEQ so I can say it uses 64-bit internal processing precision in all processing branches. But it has 32-bit floating point inputs and outputs (due to JUCE library restriction) so the output signal is truncated to 32-bit format.

    I am writing a small tutorial on using these plug-ins in Sound Forge. I noticed that when I create a chain of all three plug-ins, when I select a preset in SlickEq or in Molot, the preset is re-named on the other plugins, even in their individual preset menus. So, if I set SlickEQ for Mastering1, then when I select a preset in Molot of “premaster”, the SlickEq’s Mastering1 preset changes to “premaster” also, and then SlickEQ no longer has Mastering1 in it’s list of presets. It has renamed it’s Maser1 to “premaster”. Is this happening to others too? IS there a work-around? I do love these plug-ins! Thank you!!

      Hi John. It’s really strange because SlickEQ and Molot have absolutely different codebase and from my point of view it’s impossible to “share” this change between these plugins. But I can check this problem. Which version of Sound Forge to you use?

    Приветствую вас, Владислав! Низкий поклон вам за Nova67P. Много лет я искал вменяемый динамический эквалайзер, который бы можно было использовать в качестве многополосного компрессора с возможностью полключения внешнего сайд-чейна и был несказанно рад, встретив ваш (бесплатный!) плагин!

    То, что я напишу ниже, никоим образом не умаляет моего восхищения вашей работой, просто у меня возникла некоторая “непонятка.” Результаты, о которых напишу ниже, я получал прогоном розового шума через ваш плаг на спектроанализатор.

    Вот смотрите:

    Включаем только один фильтр в режим, скажем, High-shelf Fixed, ставим на 1кГц и опускаем, скажем, на 9 дБ. Получаем кривую 1 – классическую полку, имеющую центральную точку симметрии на уровне 1 кГц (как и предполагалось).

    Теперь переключаем фильтр в режим Low shelf Fixed, возвращаем его уровень на 0 дБ,
    а на 9 дБ опускаем общий уровень, т.е. “остаток”. Получаем кривую 2. Такую же, как 1, но смещенную вправо, с центром уже на 1.3 кГц. Это интуитивно нелогично, но объяснимо, т.к. фильтрация все-таки параллельная.

    Но идем дальше! Включаем тот же фильтр в снова в режим High-shelf, но теперь Dyn:splitband и опускаем теперь не уровень, а трэшхолд так, чтобы “полка” ушла на -9 дБ. Получаем кривую 3! Она смещена влево (центр на 770 Гц). Вот это уже необъяснимо (для меня!)) Почему для статики и динамики получается разная кривая?

    Ну и наконец делаем такую же динамическую полку, переключив фильтр в режим Low shelf Dyn:splitband и опустив трэшхолд “остатка”… А тут действительно получаем снова кривую 2 (т.е. в этом случае статика и динамика совпадают)!

    Объясните, пожалуйста, почему так получается? Или это все-таки ошибка математики?

    Just downloaded TDR Nova plugin & tried it. I was so disapointed to see that such a great plugin did not sound as good as it is actually programmed to! I love Nova67p, it sounds amazing!!!. The TDRNova does not sound as good as Nova67p. Try it yourself, process some audio with the 2 plugins (same settings) and A/B compare, you will hear the diffference (The difference is more audible if you use a daw with 64bit double precision audio engine, I use Sonar). I guess this 32bit input & output restriction of the the juce library is negatively affecting the quality of your superb 64bit-precision code!!!

    Hello, I am running an old protool LE 8. I was interested in trying the Limiter no6. I have downloaded the windows 64 bit version on my computer that runs windows 7. However, I am having a hard time either 1) installing it (if that needs to be done) or 2) moving the .dll into the right folder for Pro tools to be able to run the plugin. Please help. I may be totally approaching this all wrong.

    Hi, I’m using Reaper and Cubase and your Limiter6 works perfectly with both of them. I absolutely love the interface, it’s like old analogue gear that I trained on in the 1980’s when I was working for Radio New Zealand. I’m using it for mastering and it is the best compressor/limiter plugin that I have found. I have one question for you. On the compressor, where you have the attack speed starting at 0.05, is that 50 milliseconds with the next notch then being 200 milliseconds. Therefore is the maximum attack time 2 seconds?     I recently stumbled across your products. I am curious about the Proximity plugin and it capabilities to correct phase cancellation. I am thinking that maybe your plugin can ‘virtually’ tweak the distance of a mic from the face of a guitar amp. I am running a stereo rig, and I am trying to fix some phase cancellation. You’re thoughts?

    I am currently conducting research into the effectiveness of distance illusory software for my masters thesis. This summer I will be building and testing Michael Gerzon’s Distance Pan-pot. I was wondering if you, and those at TDR, are open to sharing the methods by which ‘Proximity’ works. i.e how early reflection times and gains are calculated etc. Such information would be incredibly valuable to me as I could compare your methods to those of Gerzon’s. Such a comparison would fill out my background research chapters and make for a fascinating read!

      Hi Eoghan! Probably my answer is too late but there’s no any magic in Proximity:
      1. For distance delay just digital delay was used
      2. For air absorption just calculated tables of real air absorptions were used
      3. For proximity microphone effect simple model was calculated
      4. For width change simple geometrical model was used
      5. For early reflections I think this Gerzon’s paper was used as a base
      But combination of these 5 simple effects with 1 knob gave very useful plugin as the result

    Vlad, I’ve been using this plugin for over a year now, and it’s fantastic! I particularly like using it on my Bass Guitar, because of the extra character this plugin adds.

    I understand that your background is in programming, but I was wondering if you’d attempted to make an actual analogue unit…at least in terms of the circuitry. If so, I would build it and take it with me everywhere!

    Hi Vlad..just trying out the Molot..very nice..where are the presets you talk about in the manual.I have looked for them using a Mac/ AU app..cant find them..I have also been using it in Protools 10.310 OSX 10.8.5 with the bluecat VST to AAX Wrapper…Also the Limiter 6..you mention AAX in the works.When will that happen? Great plug ins.

      Well, probably BlueCat’s wrapper doesn’t support presets. I never used it so I can’t tell you what the problem with presets. On the other hand I use some of standard presets a lot (in real life situations) so probably it’s good to offer screenshots of preset settings somewhere.
      About Limiter6 it was planned in 2016 but I was too busy to complete this project. It’s expected in 1st quarter of 2017.
      Some features already implemented and some are in progress. What do we have now:
      1. Drag&drop of modules (variable order)
      2. Molot in compressor modes
      3. Smooth blend between multiband and single band operation
      4. Dry mix for each module
      5. Each module can have stereo or MS mode, separate M & S gains and thresholds
      6. Metering drag&drop module with LUFS and so on.

      Hmm, probably the plugin was disabled as “unstable” and you should re-enable it somewhere in options. On the other hand I didn’t have problems with Audition. Could you try another version of Limiter6? (there are 2 versions with different GUIs on downloads page)

      Hi Sabastian, unfortunately these plugins don’t have Pro Tools version. You must use some kind of wrapper plugin such as BlueCat Patchwork to load them.

    But when I use Proximity in Reaper I can`t find the Presets.
    Is there a possibility to import the Presets of the Plugin in Reaper?

    Hey Vlad! Molot is my favorite compressor but on my laptop crashes every time I load it! The “no GUI” version still works but I need the meter lol. I suspect it has something to do with c++ redistributables (that’s what Audacity crash log showed, Reaper’s had some numbers). Is there a specific redistributable I should have? I’m on Windows 10 x64 my CPU is an i7 3720m. Thanks a lot!!!
